2023 Grand Prix of Portland Live Online

The IndyCar Series 2023 Grand Prix of Portland will take place from 1-3 September 2023 at Portland International Raceway in Portland, Oregon.  Every year the race was played as a CART series race from 1984 to 2007 and was held as part of the Champ Car World Series. In 2018, the race was returned to the IndyCar schedule after a ten years hiatus. Portland International Raceway:

The Portland International Raceway was first played on the previous site of the town of Vanport in 1961, which was damaged in the 1948 Memorial Day flood. The 12-turn, 1.964-mile dirt road is quite flat but has multiple overtaking points, including a fast turn at the end of the front stretch, a right-hander turn 7 leading to the backside, and turns 3 leading to the front side.

Mark Miles, CEO of Hulman and Company, owner of the Verizon IndyCar line, said: Portland International Speedway created exciting street races all over the history of IndyCar, finishing in 1997, remains the record for the closest finish on the road or on the street.
